Anessa Rivera’s Musical Daydream

Previously being covered on the site, Anessa Rivera is back with her new single Daydreamin’. The single released March 7th, and unlike her previous single, this is more of a love song. In the three and a half minute song, we have Anessa singing about this potential relationship she constantly is thinking about but is still somewhat scared to open up due to a past relationship. The song has a soothing R&B vibe to it and is good as some nice background music.

To go along with the single Anessa released a music video to the song March 29th. The video was directed by Joe Krenz and the video comes off more like a short film rather than a movie based on how it was shot. In the video we get Anessa doing some writing while staring out her window and she starts to daydream. From that point on we get cuts of multiple scenes of Anessa singing at different locations such as a park, a restaurant, and an apartment. To go along with her premise of her daydreaming we get someone to come in and play Anessa’s love interest. That's when it gets interesting though because paying closer attention to the video we soon realize that all the scenes with the love interest are purely Anessa daydreaming because the Anessa we see singing is in a similar location but from afar. It works perfectly as it plays on the theme of the song.
