On this track, Kayo is really pouring his heart out. “Talk” is a single where Kayo finds himself reminiscing on his relations, and really is reflecting on his past. The vulnerable approach is definitely working well for this you talented artist rising up out of Chicago. Hence the name of the song, “Talk” is a very conversational tone, Kayo does not hold back from wearing his heart on his sleeve and putting it all on wax. I love the flow he raps throughout this track, making it really easy for the listener to follow along with his narration and tempo, allowing you to feel connected to Kayo as if he were standing right in front of you.

Kayo has been featured on several playlists including Tidal’s “New Midwest'' playlist alongside artists like Chance The Rapper, Lil Durk, and many more.

“Talk is my second single from the project. It’s a record that I made to encapsulate the rollercoaster of a ride a relationship really is. The different thoughts and feelings that constantly come and go, thinking ‘maybe LESS communication is key,’ hence the chorus “I don’t wanna talk.” This record not only came out of the blue, but it wasn’t originally supposed to be on the album. I was

flying back to LA and starting sifting through a beat pack from my guy WildlifeWilly. When the “Talk” instrumental came on, I immediately fell in love and added it to my notes. I had just got through with an argument about traveling too much and missing important things, as I was literally flying back home the afternoon of my birthday. After that, the song wrote itself. I finished it that night in my hotel room which was booked for my birthday celebration and added it to the album shortly after as the lead single.”
