LaSalle Grandeur Ft. Ric Wilson - “Bad Guy” (Single)

“Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” We have all been exposed to this quote in one form or another.  The single is the embodiment of this famed quote. Although the lyrics are sorrowful as LaSa grieves over a relationship he has lost himself in and no longer sees a future in The production of the single brings an aura of nostalgia and glee to the mournful chorus and verses giving it the famed “smile” of looking back at good memories.

LaSalle Grandeur links up with Ric Wilson on the brand new single titled “bad gUy” where LaSalle speaks about the moment when his past partners would paint the picture of him as a bad guy. The asshole partner who breaks up with them instead of the lover he was to them. However painful, LaSalle gives insight into what may be in the mind of said “bad gUy.”

With the chorus being  “I can’t be myself with you” and it being ample enough reason to conduct the breakup it is still painful, as even LaSalle Grandeur paints himself with the moniker of being a bad guy for wanting to be happy with them but no longer being able to.

LaSalle Grandeur's ear for catchy, melancholic, anthem-Esque hooks is complemented with the intricate, punch-line full verse of Ric Wilson. As eye-catching as having Ric Wilson feature in the track, A big name in the Chicago Scene, It also showcases the growth LaSalle has undergone as an artist to fit right alongside one of Chicago’s hottest independent artists sonically. Hopefully, this is only an omen of what is to come from LaSalle Grandeur and his future releases.
