Moses The Marauder - Your Fault (Single)

Moses SHows some of his vulnerable side with his new single “Your fault”

A few months ago I had a chance to cover Moses' album and after getting a chance to see him and his rap collective “Closed Casket” live, I knew there was a lot of potential. The Brooklyn born artist was letting his EP sit while releasing a music video and having a consistent show run. It wasn’t until July 5th, 2024, that Moses’ would go on to release his latest single Your Fault. The single matches a lot of the tone and similarities of his EP with Moses’ showing more shades of his Mac Miller influence.

The single has a lot of meaning, from Moses’ blaming his significant other for the lack of commitment, hence the title, but as the song goes on, Moses tends to realize that maybe he might be the issue. The song was produced by Moses’ childhood friend Benny Boorstyn and like other Moses’ songs its an array of drums mixed with a saxophone which is able to capture the listener and give this laid back type of feeling. The inclusion of the voice memos work really well because the girl is just trying to be with Moses’ yet she knows that she isn’t the only one who he is seeing and at the end you hear her and how she seems to really care about him.

To coincide with the single, Moses released a music video in which was shot while he was out in London. We get to see some shots of infamous landmarks in the video such as Big Ben and Abbey Road, but most of the video is just Moses during his time out there and shots of Moses in a phone booth to go along with the theme of his significant other steadily calling him. This was a great single to come back with and it was something chill to give his fans for the summer.
