Myquale lands on our page today with his stellar EP titled “Passport Package”.

Myquale has been a name that I have gotten real accustomed to over the past year! His impactful releases along with being a vital piece to Chicago rap group Outernet, is just the tip of the iceberg. His bone chilling imagery, heritage, and impressive rap skills are on full display on this great project, which to me is the best EP of the year so far!

In breaking down “Passport Package”, there is honestly a lot to fall in love with. This whole project has a ton of flavor and soul that really depicts Myquale so well. I definitely can tell Myquale has been a student of the rap game for a while because these tracks are so dense with pure old rap elements, which he expands greatly on.

The inviting track “Butler” which trickles down to the last track on the tape “4AM in Kenya “is a solid way to start and finish a tape with “Snooky” and “Last Night We Parted Ways” being middle center pieces. I love the whole form and track layout with “Last Night We Parted Ways” and “4AM In Kenya” being my favorite tracks on the tape. I feel like “ Last Night We Parted Ways” really stands out to me because of the subject matter and the authentic dance Afro beat feel it gives off but at the same time is deep in meaning. “4 AM In Kenya” is another track that really spoke to me and depicted Myquale’s authentic heritage and growing up on the North side. The imagery and emotion in the song is everything with Myquale muttering out the phrase “ If this rap shit don’t work I’m on the next flight” which ends the tape and encapsulates every emotion and feel of the tape which plays into the tittle and the whole meaning of the project. Best believe once I heard the ending, I instantly ran the whole tape back like I know most fans will.

So if you haven’t already, be sure to stream this brand new stellar project from Myquale here.
