Ronnie Rage - Born Outside (EP)
Ronnie Rage is back with an energetic EP that will end your summer on a high note.
“Born Outside feels like a playground. The beat selection gave me the energy and audacity to say whatever came to mind. After being on lockdown in the house for so long I just wanted to get loose. Middle of The Night EP was emotional and introspective. “Born Outside” is the ratchet cousin that’s fun to be around but will probably get you in trouble.”- Ronnie Rage on Born Outside EP
Born Outside is a mini-collection of summer anthems. With infectious synth melodies and hard-hitting 808s, Ronnie wanted to express how free he felt when the lockdown ended.
The EP opens brightly with “Stay Up” (co-prod w/ Dynox of Internet Money) which demonstrates how it feels when the sun is rising before your night has even come to an end. Followed by “Kiki’s Revenge” and “Racer,” the pair was self-produced with a seemingly infinite amount of flows and rhyme schemes that go hand in hand to shape a sound that is authentically his own. Outsourced production from previously released hit singles with “Doing Too Much” (prodbydev__) and “El Presidente” (Gorillagogetit) and a gritty collaboration on “Devil In Dior” with Safehouse773 co-affiliate: CLOUD2800 makes for the perfect soundtrack to get ratchet to and enjoy the last bit of warm Chicago weather we have left before the frigid winter arrives.
