Stranded Civilians - Nirvana

Stranded Civilians is back with a brand new project titled “Nirvana”

Chicago group Stranded Civilians is one of the most talented and underrated groups from the north side. After getting word of their new project, I knew I was in for a classic after getting countless drops of quality work from the past couple years.

Stranded Civilians is a group I am familiar with and very fond of. I first heard of the north side group from a single that was on there last project “Teenage Dreamin” that dropped 2 years ago. Since that project, I have honestly been feening for more of there work because from the first listen, there shear musical balance alongside the chemistry the group possesses is top notch and is something I rarely hear in music and in the vast rap umbrella category today.

In breaking down “Nirvana”, Group members of Stranded Civilians Tony and Aubry are better than ever bringing an even more polished sound to there music. The 12 tracks are an assortment of different vibes and overall great pungent content that keeps you invested all the way throughout. The first 3 tracks to the start the tape to me feel just so right and a solid way to keep the listener ready for more. The musical transition from “Oscars” to “Couples Skate” then too “S.O.S” featuring WemmyMo, is downright beautiful and a great mixture of different sounds. I feel like “Nirvana” excels when Tony and Aubry play with RNB elements alongside there unique rap styles which plenty of the songs posses, but overall the whole tape is a solid and a great move in the right direction for Stranded Civilians.

Be sure to stream this project here and make sure you listen to my two favorite tracks on the project “Cherry Lemonade” & “Couples Skate”!
