Chicago native Calboy has been tearing up the streets and the top billboard charts as of late. His blockbuster song “Envy Me” has finally hit platinum and I couldn’t be more happy for him because he honestly deserves every milestone he accomplishes. Calboy is the forefront of a new wave of Chicago rappers coming from the city hitting the mainstream. His style is authentic and true to Chicago, which makes me more of a fan of his work. Hopefully, 2019 can be a great year for discovering Chicago talent like how back in 2013 was. I hope this because rappers like Calboy out of the area are getting a lot of shine and hopefully that light can be shared with others across the city. In focusing on the EP, Calboydevours the 10 track lengthy project. The features on the tape from Yo Gotti, Lil Durk, Moneybagg Yo, Meek Mill, Polo G, and Young Thug add a nice touch that propels this tape to being one of the hottest out right now.
