Diamond Armani – Soul Ties
Experience the Soulful Sounds of Diamond Armani in Her Latest Release, Soul Ties
As a music journalist, it can be tempting to categorize artists into neat little boxes based on their genre or compare them to others in their field. But sometimes, an artist comes along who defies those expectations and stands out on their own. That's exactly what we found when we heard Diamond Armani's latest single. Hailing from Jackson, Mississippi, Diamond has been writing music since the age of seven, and her unique sound and style have captured our attention. So in this article, we're diving deeper into her story and exploring what makes her music so special.
Diving into the music “Soul Ties” can be seen as a classic Mid – Late 2000s R&B song. Through the lyrics right away, you hear Diamond singing about a past relationship and how she thought they were going to last forever. In the hook of the song, Diamond sings “Soul ties make your heart cry, Soul ties will you come out alive?” and if you ever been in a very committed relationship that you thought would last and it didn’t, then this song might just bring back some old memories. You get hints of “Jordin Sparks” and “Shontelle” but due to the slower tempo of the song, you don’t get the full effect of either of those artists, which gives Diamond her own style as well. Similar to other R&B songs, “Soul Ties” is a normal length song of close to about four minutes. The song does tend to get a little repetitive towards the end only due to its slower nature and the song seems at times like the hook has more emphasis than the verses.
At the end of the day though if R&B is one of your main genres of music you listen to, then Diamond should definitely be your watch. After also checking her other three songs on Apple Music, this slower tempo from “Soul Ties” isn’t something that is included in all of her songs. If “Soul Ties” isn’t your cup of tea and you would like to check out something a little faster than “Wildside” by Diamond should do the trick!
