icyybands - NBA (official video) Dir. [ Blue Butterflies ]

Since icyybands was last featured on the site, he’s released some new singles, some music videos to his mixtape “Ladiesloveicyy”, while also directing some music videos. Back with a new single titled “NBA”, which was released as a single on SoundCloud. The song shows icyybands as he continues to show off why he’s one of the newer artists giving off a new sound. We hear lines from icyybands like “I’m your favorite designer, videographer, and rapper”, “I just jumped out the gym like I just caught a play” and right after with “this rapper shit too easy flip a bar like a filet” over a smooth Detroit beat similar to that of Baby Smoove. 

         The video to “NBA” was co-directed by [Carefree Ant] and icyybands. Throughout the video, we have amazing editing effects from both directors along with some shots of icyybands as an NBA prospect. This is a nice touch to go along with the title of the song to give the video somewhat of a story feel. As the song is ending, we get an edit of an older style broadcast hijacking which leads us to a snippet of a new song.

         The single is still currently only available on SoundCloud, while the music video is out on YouTube. With that said, it’s going to be interesting to see what icyybands has in store for us this year, after his mixtape “Ladiesloveicyy” is in our top 50 projects of 2022.
