After getting in tune with Khaliyah X from a great videographer creative/ friend Thomas Cutts, I have been getting more and more drawn into her beautiful solid music. The First time I heard Khaliyah was on her single/ visual “Timing” which really introduced me to her nostalgic sound and captivating vocals. The visual and listening to more of her work like singles “Feelings” and “Come and see me” really peaked my interests even more, so when I came across this track “Impulses” I knew I was in for a special one. “Impulses” really sets the mood from the gate with its raw emotion and subject mater. Khaliyah Xdoes an excellent job with painting a vivid picture with her lyrics and pure feeling in this track, that she displayed in previous singles before. Her sound is authentic and very nostalgic which makes me really feel like I’m listening to peak 90’s RNB music every time I press play on her music.
