Long Live Mexico - Lil Keed
Lil Keed drops debut album Long Live Mexico
Last Friday, Atlanta rapper Lil Keed dropped his official studio debut, Long Live Mexico. Following his 2018 mixtape release, Keed Talk to ’Em (a project I still bump to religiously), the 20-track project features collabs with Young Thug, Gunna, Roddy Rich, and more. The album commemorates the life of Keed’s fallen friend, Mexico, who he considered a brother. (glo in Peace Mexico)
If you have paid attention to some of my post in the past, you are already familiar with my respect for all Young Stoner Life members. I truly believe that Young Thug is one of the GOATs in our generation and it is very exciting when he paves out a lane for the artists coming up under his imprint. I first became familiar with Keed on his Trapped On Cleveland 2 mixtape, which featured hit song “Blicky Blicky” he then followed up by being placed on the YSL compilation album Slime Language on track titled “Going Up” When he dropped Keed Talk To 'Em , I knew that this dude was destined for success, he could spit, he could sing, he could be lyrical, he could do it all. Long Live Mexico showcase a ton of his skills.
My favorite tracks from Long Live Mexico include Rockstar Ft. Nav , Make U Proud and Pass It Out Ft. Lil Gotit (side note: Lil Gotit is Lil Keeds blood brother., I would LOVE a collab tape from tthose two)
Other guests on the feature-packed album include, Moneybagg, Lil Duke, Karlae, Stickbaby, Guap Tarantino, and PG.
