DSmith, born January 28, 1994. 23 years old coming with a style that differs from what you would normally hear from someone in the Chicagoland area. He is from Joliet, IL, that's 30mins away from Chicago. The city is influenced by any and everything that goes in Chicago. This has been the way things have been since DSmith was younger. His style is abstract from what you would normally hear coming out of the Midwest region and ESPECIALLY different for someone coming out of a city so close to Chicago with all the "Drill" music taking over the region lately. His debut mixtape just dropped April 7, 2016. DSmith recently did a collab with the UK artist Bentley Jones formally "Lee Brotherton" of The Remix Factory whose credits include work with companies like Sega, NamcoBandai and production credits/official remixes for artists such as; Madonna, Ariana Grande, Sia, will.i.am.
"XIII: Stories Never Told" is an 11 track mixtape of all original material. After 2 1/2 years of composing the mixtape finally dropped on April 7, 2016. "XIII: Stories Never Told" is something completely different from what is coming out of the Chicagoland area. DSmith tells his stories with great lyrical content as well as making catchy singles and delivering powerful messages wrapped up in project that carries you from intro to outro effortlessly.
