Dre Izaya - 4 No Reason (EP)

Dre Izaya drops off his brand new EP titled “4 No Reason”

Honestly, with every drop, Dre Izaya is making his name more and more prominent in Chicago. His new EP is amazing and honestly the exact reason why you should get accustomed to him because he is going to be here for a while!

Dre Izaya is an artist that I honestly got put on to fairly recently by another dope Chicago artist Brittney Carter. What drew me really into Dre’s music was his overall polished sound and the way he overall approaches a track. I know it might sound cliché but Dre honestly knows how to just make downright good damn music no matter what cadences, flows, or subject matter he expresses. One thing that stays constant in all his music is the authenticity and his sheer star power that oozes over every track.

In breaking down “4 No Reason” all I can say is Shessshhhhh! Every track I feel like was impactful and really could stand alone as singles, which really made this project stand out in my eyes. From the jump with beginning the EP with “Banginin at the Door” Dre kept the energy locked in all the way throughout this project with other tracks consisting of the same fire energy and emotion adding to this project as a whole. I really feel like the stand-out track on this tape that I come back to every time is “Like The Lobby” because of its authentic bars and relatable subject matter, that really sets Dre apart from other rappers. In the track Dre says “walk around my city on my tippy toes, niggas might pull up on me like gimme those, whatever up in my shit I’ll give and go before I let a nigga take my life” this authentic, relatable, memorable touch is everything to me because it really gives listeners a very discrete look and connection to real-life problems that go on in our communities but are creatively depicted through lyrics. There a ton of memorable flows, bars, and authentic subject matter in this project that I feel really is one of my favorite EP’s to come out of Chicago this year! So be sure to stream this EP here “4 No Reason” and stay up to date on more Dre Izaya releases.
