After the release of his project “Blu Fame” last year, 8matkitlogan takes no time with giving fans another project to dissect and fall in love with. “888” overall is a nice balance of great genre blending music and to me is one of the best releases out of Chicago this year so far!

8matiklogan has been an artist I have known and gotten familiar with over the years, but I’m definitely happy that this is the first project I am covering from him. I say this because personally, I feel like this project really stood out to me and really made an impression from the first playthrough down to the spot on rollout. I am always invested in Logan content but I really do feel like this time around, Logan is in his bag more than ever with even producing a majority of this project, and by making a rollout that is so infectious that is almost impossible not to see what the hype is all about.

In diving into detail on “888” Logan combines a lot of different vibes throughout the project to make a well-rounded cohesive overall sound between tracks. I love the way Logan starts out the project with having more of the deeper impactful songs like “ Don’t Let Go” at the beginning of the project with the upbeat bass knocking songs in the middle and at the end of the project. I feel like he sets the mood very well in what you're about to hear but I do feel like once “Dirty Money” comes on the project does change a little bit with its tone but sticks to the same overall message. My favorite track would definitely have to be “Floor Seats” because of Logan’s delivery and the punchy infectious beat. Overall I enjoyed listening to this project and will definitely have “888” in my daily rotation moving forward. So be sure to stream this brand new project here titled “888” from 8matiklogan.
