FarrellB – Yameii (Single)

 FarrellB: Bringing the East Coast to the Midwest

FarrellB, newcomer to The Ghetto Flower, is an artist from New York. FarrellB has been making music for about 4 years now and has been able to get some features from fellow New York artists such as Xhulooo and Slump6s. While FarrellB is known to make similar music to those that he’s made music with, Yameii is pretty unique. For those unfamiliar with “hyper-rap” sound that would describe these artists, some bigger names that could be compared would be SoFaygo and Tana. One of FarrellB’s inspirations come from Pierre Bourne and with Yameii, you definitely hear it.

Yameii, was released on January 12th, 2024, and is only about 2 minutes which isn’t bad for a single. The song starts off with this almost video game like sound which is prevalent throughout the production. The song itself is pretty upbeat and for some could be a song to wake up to. FarrellB is able to captivate the listener with a very catchy hook that makes the listener want to sing along. To go along with the single FarrellB released the music video to the single the very next day. Throughout the music video we get shots of FarrellB going throughout his day while also getting shot to correlate with some of the lyrics.

This upbeat melodic sound that FarrellB was about to create for this song was very fitting and with this sound, I think FarrellB has a great chance of gaining some new fans. FarrellB was definitely able to create a new lane for himself with his one.
