Exploring The Futuristic Sounds of Kayreed

Introducing a new artist to The Ghetto Flower audience, we have Kayreed. While the Chicago artist has been making music since 2019, the earliest song I could find was from 2021. In that song we hear Kayreed through a feature with another rapper named @1nemobands and the song is called Mpr. Fast forward to today and Kayreed has released two albums and numerous singles. It’s a little hard to describe Kayreed’s music, it has this futuristic, almost alien type of production with this hypnotic flow.

Kayreed released S.O.S as a two pack single release on January 21st, 2024. As a whole both songs are pretty average in runtime with Bby Sosa being about three minutes and If you Reading this it’s too late is about two and half minutes. Starting with Bby Sosa, this is where you notice the hypnotic flow, whether it be due to Kayreed repeating the hook or the production, you might get lost in the song. In the hook, Kayreed raps “Lights they go blind and show you” in a melodic flow. On the second song, If you Reading this it’s too late, Kayreed is able to float on the production the entire time. We don’t get a hook on this song and we get some similar hints of Destroy Lonely. This mainly comes from the fact that Kayreed is able to capture the audience while having this kind of mumble/melodic flow that we’re starting to hear more and more of.

Kayreed isn’t going anywhere as he has multiple drops planned for the rest of year. Stay on the look and be sure to pop out to any performance Kayreed has because his music is definitely the type you want to see live.
