Dwayne Neff - CRAZY IN the STU (Single)

Dwayne Neff sets the building blocks for his coming year

I recently came across Dwayne Neff’s new single and it’s definitely an interesting one. With a voice that sounds like a combination of Jaden Smith and Lil Reese, the Chicago artist has been making music for about five years now. Dwayne is very vocal and open about his life. On his YouTube channel, Dwayne has videos where he talks about how he was originally a basketball player in school and it wasn’t till first smoked weed and started hanging out with new friends when he took on music as a new passion.

As for the single that Dwayne released, CRAZY IN the STU, dropped February 17th, 2024. Given the title of the single, one can assume that the song was a freestyle. The production uses what sounds like an electric piano for the hook portion of the song which transitions to some 808s during Dwayne verse. What hooks the audience to the song is really Dwayne’s flow and ability to keep the listeners attention because while the song isn’t something mind blowing, this song makes you want to see what else Dwayne is capable of.

With numerous singles released throughout the years and only one compilation project, it would be interesting to see what Dwayne can accomplish on a full fledged album. Going back through his discography you can tell that Dwayne is starting to find his sound so I can't wait to see what he has in store for the rest of the year.
