Morgan Gold - Megalomania (Album)

The Amazing Songstress Showcases Her Dominance as She Strives for Album of the Year

Morgan Gold is no stranger to the site and after covering her lead single to the album back in August, this was a project I was highly anticipating. Morgan has been working on this album for awhile now and she had the releasing party for the album back in January. The album would later be released February 22nd, 2024 and consist of 16 new songs with two of them being previously released singles. The album has a runtime of about 50 minutes and like her previous releases, the album is more on the R&B side with some hints of rap.

To deconstruct the album Morgan is able to showcase her wide range of talent through her singing. Of the 16 songs, we get three different features which include, Gw4l Lil Kal, Heartbreak Homie, and 730Skylar. In one of her standout songs Photoshop, we get Morgan as she talks about some of the struggles of being a musician and how she has to put on this persona and yet still has ways to go to accomplish what her true goal is. Another standout song from the album would be Martyr. In this song we get this production that sounds like something The Weeknd would have used back in 2015. Throughout Martyr, Morgan sings about how in a previous relationship, a lot of the blame was put on her and made to seem like a bad person, which ultimately caused her to leave the relationship.

Overall the album is a must listen and it’s going to be a fun year for Morgan as she has new music to perform. With upcoming shows on March 21st and May 25th, you’re going to want to make sure you’re in attendance!
