Unveiling ccold A New Top Lyricist

In our latest entry, we’d love to introduce a new artist named, ccold (see-cold). This artist is originally from Chicago but has since moved to Colorado. While never hearing of ccold beforehand, it wasn’t until other artists such as 75 & Stoner Pimpson were posting about him. That’s when the deep dive happened and ccold has been making music since about 2020. In that time, ccold has released one other album and an EP along with a couple singles. To describe his music it can be seen as more traditional rap with the production using more jazz like inspirations. 

Getting into Cold Hearts in February, the album was released on February 12th, 2024 and has 12 songs. The album isn’t that long as the runtime comes in at about 30 minutes. As for the 12 songs, we get features on five of them. We have khari essex featured on all five, while also having Yaeskii and Tae+ featured on track 10 “What Do You Want?”. The standout track from the album might be 3Am Vent Talks. In this song we get a hidden feature from Chicago artist 500 as he gets the majority of the song until about the 30 second mark and ccold starts his verse.

It’s always refreshing to find new artists who don’t give off that typical sound you hear from most upcoming artists, so I definitely recommend giving ccold a listen if you enjoyed what you read!
