Anessa Rivera: Rising Star with Empowering Pop/R&B Single 'No Ultimatum

With only four songs under her belt, Anessa Rivera is someone who made a splash with her 1st single last year and has only been getting better.

Originally from Arizona, Anessa moved to Chicago and in that time, she’s coming off of Lyrical Lemonade articles for each single, a Crowns x Thrones interview, a couple of live performances, and just graduated college. Anessa brings TGF her latest single titled “No Ultimatum” which was released on all streaming platforms on June 27th, 2023.

The song is more on the Pop/R&B side of things. It’s a quick listen as the song is only two minutes and 35 seconds.

The production of the single sounds similar to something produced by Tommy Brown, who is a frequent collaborator with Ariana Grande and Victoria Monét. “No Ultimatum” is very much Anessa’s memoir of a previous ex as she sings about the wasted time she put into the relationship and how she’s doing better now that she’s grown as a person.

Anessa said with this song she wants to “Empower those who were down bad and give those strength, to choose themselves by not getting back with their ex or situation ship because healed from the previous heartbreak.”

With such little work put out and having this much recognition it’s going to be very exciting to see how Anessa tends to keep this up. This is one artist you don’t want to miss seeing live so everyone who enjoys this genre of music should keep tabs on Anessa as well!
