BBSubi – G Shock (Single)

Is BBSubi About to Shock the World? Discovering a Rising Star

Discovering an artist with the potential to become a popstar always feels like finding buried treasure and that may be the case here. Today, we over at The Ghetto Flower introduce BBSubi with her latest single G Shock. The song was released September 15th, 2023. Subi gives us this mixture of Punk, Pop, R&B, and Rap all put into one which gives us a sound that really hasn’t been heard since the late 2000s – early 2010s that is similar to Hayley Williams, the lead singer of Paramore. With that late 2000s sound and the lyrics and production being more modern is what makes Subi just stand out so much more.

Going into the single, it’s only about two and half minutes and the song is about Subi and her ex. We get this punk rock type beat for G Shock that goes amazing with Subi’s voice and matches the energy that she brings. In the hook of the song, we have Subi saying, “You’re not my first bad b****, are you dumb, why you shocked how fast I got a new one, trust me when I tell it, it’s way more where that came from” which plays with the title of the song and gives us the insight to know that she’s talking about her ex.

In the past year since releasing music, Subi has had one single and an EP to go along with it. That being said, Subi just needs to be more consistent and release more music and content to go along with it if she really wants to make this a career because she definitely has that artist look and talent. Subi isn’t going to make us wait that long either as she is planning on releasing a project before the end of the year!
