Joey Perccz Gives Us an Insight into His Head

Joey Perccz is being introduced to The Ghetto Flower family with his latest album titled More Detached Than Ever. Joey is from Chicago and started releasing music back in 2020. In that time Joey has gone on to release a handful of singles, an album, a couple music videos, and some performances to go along with all of that. Joey is highly influenced by Juice Wrld, Mac Miller, Lil Wayne, and Lil Peep. You can hear this throughout all of Joey’s music and it’s definitely shown in this album. With that being said Joey uses autotune and a raspy moaning like voice at times which is evident of the artists that influence him.

Joey released More Detached Than Ever, on November 16th, 2023, and the album has 11 songs. Of the 11 songs, we have 10 new unreleased songs since Joey released Nude as a single on October 5th, 2023. The album is pretty standard in length as the run time comes in at about 25 minutes. Throughout the album we get the typical lines about fashion and women, but Joey also gives us an insight into what he’s been dealing with as of late such as issues with mental health and previous substance abuse. The song Relapse Weight prominently shows this as the song can be seen as a double entendre as Joey can be talking about a previous relationship or wanting to dive back into his previous drug use.

This album shows a lot of growth from some of Joey’s previous work and that’s all an artist can truly ask for in their music journey. This was a special project as Joey calls it his autobiography and his fans won’t be disappointed.
