TG Fee – The Highest (EP)

After writing about Austin2Glock, the collective Thraxx Gang has been on our radar and today, we’re going to be talking about and introducing TG Fee to The Ghetto Flower audience. Looking into the collective after the release of Austin’s album, Back Against The Wall 2, we stumbled across Fee’s EP, The Highest, which was released July 7th, 2023. Similar to his collective mate. Fee has this sound that is a mixture of current day Detroit rap with Chicago rap. Given the sound Fee has, we’re mainly here for the production, punchlines and references.

Heading into the project, it’s an eight song EP with a run time of only 14 minutes, so it’s a pretty quick listen. The production on the EP is very chill, with the song ThreePs gives us a smooth jazz sample with some 808’s to modernize the beat for Fee. The song, Post, is the song where Fee gives us his most unique flow on the project. The EP only has 1 feature which comes from Fee’s collective mate, ALLiKnow. If anyone recalls ALLiKnow from his feature on Austin’s project, they’ll know he had one of the best verses on that album, and he doesn’t disappoint with his verse on this EP either.

All in all, Thraxx Gang got some real hitmakers over there and they all have their own sound which is very tough for a lot of artists in collectives nowadays. We’ll definitely keep an eye out for more projects and singles coming out from Thraxx Gang, while also very much anticipating ALLiKnow’s first project
